Improving your sales techniques

When you have made a few sales on eBay you will have the confidence to build to a higher level of selling by improving your sales technique. Detailed research, clear pictures and the best use of words for your listing title and product description will stand you in good stead for more and better sales. The icing on the cake will be how well you communicate with your viewers and buyers as polite, friendly and efficient communication is essential to a happy customer and a good reputation for the seller.

There are a number of things you need to do now to make sure your product is noticed by the customers  and presented in the best possible way. First and foremost it is important to do your research. It is an important tool to understand how eBay works for you to help you maximise your profits.

Don’t make the mistake of some sellers and price your item too high to start. If you have done your basic research you should be able to price low and have the confidence that your product will sell at the price you expect. Find out what the postage is likely to be when you sell your item, whether it should be insured and what fees you will be charged by eBay. This way you will know what price you need to attain to make a profit. Don’t try to charge too much for postage or
you may draw negative feedback from the buyer. It is good idea to have postage and handling free, if you enough profit margin.
